28 - No Politics in Classroom (Boro Taxpayer) / Replies: 2

A new BOE policy should be put into effect with the cooperation of the Teachers Union and the NFSS that Union Politics will be kept out of our classrooms during the promotion of the November school levy. OUR KIDS CANNOT VOTE! But our kids can be intimidated by projected attitudes of their teachers that KIDS are the responsible ones for lack of resources or crowded classrooms. Examples: All classroom teachers should refrain from statements to children about additional stuff they will get for their room IF the levy passes. Pro -levy material sent home to parents by students should be prohibited. High school projects such as permission to wear Hats in class IF a donation of one dollar is made to the NFSS levy campaign are not in the best interest of our students.
