I pledge to follow the OSBA's Code of Ethics and to make decisions based on the following values:
1. Respect the community. Criticism of the board and administration does not mean anti-school. Voting no on a levy does not mean anti-school. The community supports the schools and values the education of their children.
2. Respect the student. Parents are the ultimate authority over their children, the school is not the parent. If students break the rules they will be penalized, but we should not assume the worst.
3. Respect district workers.
4. Excellence in education.
I will keep in mind that being a critic is easy. Being a critic with ideas and solutions (problem solver) is invaluable
